Aumtea’s Golden Lily Oolong tea comes from the nearly green, fermented leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant, grown in the high mountains of Northern Thailand. In Thailand, oolong is also used to make the popular Thai Tea drink (“cha nom yen”) in five-star restaurants. Our Golden Lily Oolong is refreshing and light, with a distinctive natural aroma.
Aumtea’s Golden Lily Oolong is a processed top leaf tea that is 30 - 40% oxidized, which refers to the amount of time the picked leaves have been exposed to air. Black and green teas come from the same tea bush as oolong does, but derive their colors, flavors and health benefits through different levels of oxidation – black tea is fully oxidized before drying, and green tea is unoxidized. Oolong tea lies somewhere in the middle, combining the best qualities of both.
Golden Lily Oolong is an excellent choice for those looking for a healthy, mildly caffeinated tea. Oolong has about half the caffeine as green or black tea, and is packed with antioxidants. Additionally, Oolong is an exceptional source of important minerals like potassium, manganese, sodium, niacin and magnesium.
Aumtea’s Golden Lily Oolong is always organically grown, and is free from pesticides, coloring, sugar, preservatives and any other chemical substances.
